What if Taylor Swift was a best-selling author? What if her album Speak Now (Taylor's Version) was a book series and her song 'The Story of Us' was the next part in the series? This was a fun mockup I created based on these what-ifs.
Speak Now is one of my favorite albums, so I wanted to do it justice. While brainstorming for this project, I listened to it in its entirety and thought about what the community views Speak Now as and how it could translate into a book design.
To me (and a lot of other Swifties), Speak Now gives off a young adult whimsical fantasy vibe. After all, Taylor Swift sings in 'Long Live,' 'I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.' So, for this book design, 'The Story of Us' was more so the story of Speak Now—castles, romance, dragons—oh my. My favorite part was manipulating the type to create the title and have 'story' wrap around 'us.'
